Art Edu (Caution)

12 Maret 2009

The second year of the forerunner of Art Edu Care was when UNS celebrated its 33rd birthday. In 2009, the Fine Arts Education Study Program FKIP took the initiative to expand its wings with awareness of its own citizens with Art Edu (caution) activities to raise awareness of its own citizens with Art Edu (caution) activities. ) enlarge the scale of activities. If in the previous year it was an effort to raise the awareness of its own citizens with Art Edu(caution) activities involving lecturers, alumni and students, then in the second year this intention to spread this wing is pursued by involving other institutions from outside. The target is a similar Education Personnel Educator Institution (LPTK) in the Yogyakarta and Central Java regions, namely the Yogyakarta State University (UNY) Fine Arts Education Department, and the Semarang State University (UNNES) Fine Arts Education Department.

Gayung for tat, the activities in the second year were more streamlined with the main activities in the form of art exhibitions with lecturer and student participants from 3LPTK, accompanied by Solo Clay support activities and Workshops.

The theme of the activity being carried out at the Central Java Cultural Park (TBJT) this time was “Sense, Science, Sign” which was formulated based on an idea of the importance of these three concepts in the world of arts and arts education. Sense refers to the sensitivity of feelings, Science refers to the scientific insights of art and Sign is the realm of the jungle of signs which is the realm where artistic creativity plays its role in giving birth to novelty.

In a larger framework, Sense, Science, Sign, is a description of a competency possessed by an educator and prospective art educator. For this reason, apart from creating the image of a teacher and prospective art educator, they must also understand deeply the science of art and art education, with the hope that all of this can turn into a sign, which in this framework can be interpreted as a work, both an object and or a change. (social) in a certain environment and time.

Armed with experience from the previous year, the activities were prepared more carefully. If in the previous year the activities carried out were divided into three sub-activities (exhibitions, seminars, competitions), this year the main activity that will be carried out is the Fine Arts Exhibition. But not only limited to the Fine Arts Exhibition, during the exhibition, clay workshops and workshops were also held which were attended by lecturers and students.

The clay workshop was held at the TBJT Fine Arts Gallery, attended by many participants from various backgrounds. The workshop was held on March 13, 2009, presenting Dr. Slamet Supriyadi, M.Pd, a lecturer in the Fine Arts Education Study Program, FKIP UNS, who explained and invited participants to discuss the pragmatic approach to reading works of art. The material adopted from the dissertation he wrote to achieve a doctoral degree in Linguistics presents examples of reading with a pragmatic approach to the caricatures of G.M.Sidhartha in newspapers.
