Art Edu Care

Sense Science Sign

March 11 – 17, 2010

In 2009, the Fine Arts Education Study Program FKIP UNS began to be busy with small meetings. Plans to hold annual activities ahead of the 34th Anniversary of UNS are starting to become a topic of discussion among students and lecturers. In March 2010, activities involving LPTKs throughout Java must be realized.

This activity was entitled “Art Edu Care”, a suggestion from Adam Wahida, Lecturer at the Fine Arts Education Study Program, FKIP UNS. “ Art Edu Care”. The name or title of the activity contains the intention (and hope) that this activity is a form of LPTK’s concern for the wider community.

Communication between LPTKs generally runs quite smoothly, both between lecturers and students. This fairly smooth communication meant that all LPTKs involved were able to participate in enlivening the series of activities.

The series of activities which began with the opening of the exhibition at the TBJT fine arts gallery were lively. Students from all participating LPTK delegations mixed together in a warm and fluid atmosphere. That evening all the participants got to know each other and familiarize themselves.

The next day’s activities included a national seminar. Unlike usual, this seminar was held in an open space, namely the TBJT pavilion. The national seminar with the theme “Fine Arts Education in Forming a Creative Generation” presented talks from UM, UPI, UNNES, and UNS.

The seminar, which lasted until midday, was attended by all participating LPTK student delegates and the general public. The enthusiasm of the participants was quite high with many participants responding, asking questions, and opening up the possibility of a wider discussion regarding the seminar theme raised and the material.

Art Edu Care #2

Events

In the morning of Saturday, March 13 2010, in front of the TBJT fine arts gallery, a Comic Collage and Shape Drawing Workshop was held. This activity was a positive response from the UNY and UPI Bandung delegation in enlivening Art Edu Care. From UNY the speakers were Gilang Nuari and Gilang Fradika. Next in the shape drawing workshop, Drs. Bambang Sapto Hutomo, M.Sn from UPI Bandung as speaker in the workshop.

In the afternoon of March 14, in the TBJT courtyard, all participants from LPTK drew together on a long piece of cloth prepared by the committee. This group drawing event was also attended by several high school students from the Solo area.

This performance activity was held to enliven the entire series of Art Edu Care activities, through Art Edu Care activities open to non-fine arts activities. Apart from that, by holding a music performance, Art Edu Care provides a meeting place for students and the younger generation who want to show their creativity. The music event which was held in front of the TBJT fine arts gallery was attended by several participants from Solo and Yogyakarta. Some of the bands that appeared were The Phubies, Disco Cats, Komtemproduk, Einstein Trouble and Holly Spirit.

This work review activity was originally initiated to build a culture of discussion within the campus regarding the work process. There is a lack of discussion related to employment issues, which are situations that need to be addressed together. However, when we entered the activity schedule, it appeared that many participants and committee members were tired, so only a few people attended the activity. In the end, the work review was not carried out and was replaced by a light sharing about internal conditions on campus. That afternoon the students exchanged ideas with one of the lecturers at the Fine Arts Education Study Program, FKIP UNS, Lili Hartono, S.Sn, M. Hum.
